1.2.1

Your iPhone and iPad finally agree
Notes, to-dos, favorites, tags and catch-up frequencies you add on one device now land on the right person everywhere.
See what time it is for them
A contact with an address now shows their local time under Details, so you know before you call whether you are about to wake someone up. When the date over there has already turned over it says Tomorrow or Yesterday. The offset is worked out entirely on your device - nothing is looked up online.
Notes, rearranged
The type filter has left the toolbar menu and now sits under the title as a row of chips, so you can always see which filter is on and clear it in one tap. Notes also gains the same List / Map switch the Contacts tab uses, instead of a button whose icon changed meaning as you pressed it.
Fixed
  • On iPad, the window controls in the top corner no longer sit on top of the screen title.

1.2.0

Introducing: To-Dos
Every contact now has a To-Dos tab for the things you want to get done - send the deck, make the intro, follow up after the trip.
  • Give a to-do a due date and Persodex reminds you. Tap the reminder and it opens that contact with the to-do highlighted.
  • Flag anything Important to pull it to the top.
  • Add one without opening the contact: press and hold a name in your list and pick »Add To-Do«.
  • Due to-dos show up under
    Upcoming
, next to birthdays and catch-ups.
  • Not your thing? One switch in Settings hides to-dos and stops their reminders.
Free for everyone.
Upcoming page has been redesigned
The whole screen is new. A dark header greets you by name and sums up what's coming in a single line. »You have 3 catch-ups, 2 to-dos and 1 birthday« with each number tinted to match its rows below, so the sentence doubles as the key to the list. Your events sit on a light panel with rounded shoulders that rides up over the header as you scroll: the summary when you want it, the full list when you don't.
  • Narrow the list to Today, Next Week, Next Month or Anytime.
  • Filter by what it is: birthdays, catch-ups or to-dos.
  • Anything overdue turns red wherever it appears.
Your AI note-summary now reads your to-dos too
Summarising a contact no longer looks only at your notes. It takes in what's still open and what you've already finished, then closes by telling you what's outstanding - anything overdue first. Written by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone, as before. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Name-Sorting (Thank you, »Diva hier«!)
Set how names are displayed and how the list is sorted, separately. In Settings, under Names.
Fixed
  • The app now speaks the language you picked in Settings everywhere, widgets included.
  • The contact list no longer jumps back to the top while you're scrolling it.
  • Press and hold a contact, choose Add Note or Edit Contact, and it opens every time instead of occasionally doing nothing.
  • Pinching to zoom in Network no longer opens a contact by accident.

Business Card Scanner
Point your camera at a business card and Persodex reads it. Name, title, company, email, phone, website and address. The card is read entirely on your iPhone - the photo is never uploaded and never leaves your device!
  • Reads addresses from around the world.
  • Works out the country from the phone number when the card doesn't print one - as most cards don't.
  • Warns you if the person already looks to be in your contacts, before you create a duplicate.
  • Anything it couldn't place is shown under "Also on the Card" instead of being quietly dropped.
  • No camera to hand? Pick a photo of the card from your library instead.
New Scan Card widget
Put it on your Home Screen or Lock Screen and the camera opens straight into scanning - useful at a conference, when you have four seconds and one free hand.
Also new
  • Create tags directly in the app, without going through an existing contact.

1.1.7

  • Reorder tags and groups
: tap Edit, then drag them wherever you want. Your order is used everywhere they appear, including the contact list.
  • Two new catch-up frequencies
: Half-yearly and Yearly, for the people you check in with once or twice a year. (Thx, Astrid!)
  • Smaller fixes and polish throughout.

1.1.6

This is a big one!
Your relationships, finally connected.
Apple Contacts already lets you add relationships like spouse, parent, child, friend, or manager. But they’re stored as names, not actual connections between contacts.
Persodex takes this native feature further. It matches relationships to the people in your address book, turns them into real, navigable connections, and brings them together in an interactive network.
Start with yourself and explore the people around you, from family and friends to colleagues and professional connections.
And just like the rest of Persodex, the underlying relationship data stays in your native contacts.
Persodex 06
Your notes keep their line breaks.
Write a note across several lines and it stays that way - in Persodex and on the contact card in Apple's Contacts app. Until now, every line break was flattened into a space the moment the note was saved.
Also fixed:
  • Editing a note could quietly replace it with a copy, losing its location and its place in your history. Notes are now edited in place.
  • Notes added from the share sheet are no longer reformatted the next time they're written to the contact card.
  • Notes you've already written are repaired automatically the next time you edit that contact.

1.1.5

  • Search now goes deeper than names
! It looks through your notes, tags, companies and job titles, so you can find someone by what you remember about them.
  • The contacts map
now opens instantly. Once an address has been located it's remembered, and new ones are prepared quietly in the background - so your pins are usually there the moment the map appears.
  • New
    locate-me button
on the map centers it on your position.
  • Fixed: custom tag colors no longer reset when tags sync with your iOS Contacts.
  • A more reliable app launch, plus a new Diagnostics screen under More → About that makes support requests much easier to solve.

@-Mentions are here!
Your contacts are now
connected
to each other. Type
@
in any note to mention another contact: tap a mention to jump straight to their profile.
  • Mention people in notes: type
    @
and pick a contact from the suggestion bar
  • Backlinks in the timeline: when someone is mentioned in another contact's note, it appears right in their timeline, marked with an @
  • Mentions filter: filter a contact's timeline to see only the notes they're mentioned in
Add notes from Mail
Share an email to Persodex via the share sheet and it's saved as a note on the matching contact! Details captured before you forget them.
Notes on the map
Notes with a location can now be viewed on a map, right from a contact's timeline.
Improvements & fixes
  • Multiple phone numbers and email addresses are now fully supported, with a quick picker for calls and messages
  • Fixed tags briefly disappearing after adding them to a contact
  • Fixed toggles looking inconsistent in dark mode
  • Fixed widgets occasionally staying locked after upgrading to Pro
  • Improved iCloud sync reliability
As always: your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud. No servers, no tracking.

1.1.3

What's new in 1.1.3:
  • Note locations
now sync with your contact's note -
    including map coordinates
, so nothing is lost when you reinstall or switch devices (Thx, Dominik!)
  • General (sticky) notes are now easy to read in dark mode (Thx, Ondřej!)
  • Status of the iCloud backup is fixed
Feedback is always welcome! You'll find the link on the About page. Thanks, Alex
